  • Phase transition using Optical Absorption Spectroscopy: UV-Vis absorption spectra, phase transition, temperature-dependent band gap, Urbach relaxation, structural disorder.

  • Two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG): Transition metal di-chalcogenides based hetero-structures and electronic devices, integration of 2D semiconductors with oxide semiconductors and plasmons.

  • Optoelectronics-based Devices: Photocurrent, Incident-Photon-to-Current Efficiency, Photovoltaic and hot-hole transfer.

  • Quantum computing technologies: quantum devices, quantum registers, Qubits-based devices, data transfer, the role of spin in quantum qubits.

  • Defects in Semiconductors: Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, vacancy, low energy absorption peak, photoluminescence, defect states.

  • Magnetization in Semiconductors: Spin-polarized density of states, ferromagnetism, spintronic-based devices, magnetic moments, first principle calculations.

  • Lab-grown Diamond: Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (MPCVD), Analysis of types and color centers in diamonds, Simulation of Defects in Diamonds, Chemical processes involved during MPCVD growth.
